Rudaki District

Rudaki district of Republican Subordination in Tajikistan.

Formed in September 1927 as Lacan-Tajik district Hisarskogo Vilayat Tajik Soviet Socialist Republic. January 21, 1935 renamed Koktashsky Stalinabad area of the Tajik SSR. In 1970, in honor of the 100th anniversary of VI Lenin renamed the Lenin district.

Resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan № 462 of 21 November 2003 in honor of the founder of Persian-Tajik Poetry of Abu Abdullah Rudaki was renamed in Rudaki district.

In Tajikistan, Russian media also found another version of the Russian name of the region - Rudakinsky area.

The regional center - the settlement of urban type Somoniyon, located 17 kilometers south of Dushanbe.

Geography

Rudaki district is located in Hissar valley. In the north and north-east by the Varzob, Hissar, and Shahrinav Vahdaskim districts of republican subordination of Tajikistan, on the west - Surhandarinskoy region of Uzbekistan, in the south and east - Kubadiyanskim, Jilikul, Khuroson, Javanese districts of Khatlon region of Tajikistan.
< br> The territory of Rudaki district is 1812 km ². The population of the district, according to 2008 amounted to 260 389 people.

History

Archaeological excavations indicate that the present territory of Rudaki district from ancient times people lived, engaged in the cultivation of crops, livestock and crafts. At different times the territory of the region was part of Sogdiana, Bactria, the Sassanid Empire, Kushan Empire, Samanid emirate Gaznevids Sultanate, Mongol Empire, the Sultanate of Temurids Sheibanids and Emirate.

In the area of the excavation revealed such historical and archeological complexes like:

Chorgulteppa and Todzhhon, which includes the village of Chorgulteppa, Oli Somon, Obi Shifo, Koktash, Kariya Kumar and Bachamazor otnosyashiesya for IX - XII centuries. < br> Gulistan, which includes the village of Rumi, Sabzikor, Tezgar, Falakon.
Rohat, which includes the village of Machiton, Nilkon, teppan Samarkand Simigandzh.
Chorteppa, which includes the village of Kampirkala, Shaynak, Morteppa, Chorteppa.
Esanboy which includes the village of Namozgoh, Bibihuram, Hodge Tutbulok and Kalai Kofarnikhon (near the village of Esanboy).

Industry

In the area are 27 industrial companies, 33 construction companies, three vehicles, two exploration, 10 utilities and household products, 8 markets, 3 Centre for Trade and more than 3,000 farmer-farmer households.
